So last Saturday, Cru held an event called "The Freshman Games" which was pretty much an event for all of the Freshman to get to know each other while competing in fun little games. We split into to teams, "The Winners" (my team) and "Alpha," the other team. The first game involved someone throwing a football, and then everyone else throwing balls and trying to get them as close to the football as possible. My team won! The second game, involved a large blow up obstacle course that we had to get our team through as quickly as possible. I'm pretty sure they got some crazy pictures of us all flying out the end. Surprisingly, it was a lot of fun, and really made me feel like the little kids I used to coach at the gym. Unfortunately, my team was not quite as speedy as the other. We continued on to a third came where we were all attached to a partner like a 3-legged race and we had to go around trying to pick up as many pennies off of the ground as possible. The trick was, each team could only hold one penny at once. Despite our team's ingenious plan of creating an assembly line, (which the other team copied) we still lost by a few pennies. Well darn. The last game was called "Knight and Rider" and was very similar to another game we used to play at the gym called "Chicken on the Hen house." Again, it included us all having a partner and teams were eliminated each round with the winning partners earning points for their team. Luckily, my partner and I won! Then, the other team had to 'serenade' us by singing "Old McDonald." It was quite enjoyable :P
THEN, last night came my other "little kid" experience. I found out I like Captain Crunch cereal!! I was seriously so excited because I never thought I liked it. But I really do! Haha....
Oh! I am SO EXCITED for you to have discovered Captain Crunch. :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a blast! That's funny about Captain Crunch
ReplyDeleteOh, to be a kid again. A good way to get to know each other with your legs tied together.
