Well....I have officially switched out of my Vampires and Werewolves class. What I initially thought would be a fun and interesting class turned into a HUGE amount of reading on the first day. Like I literally spent a couple days reading for HOURS and didn't even make a dent. Which really didn't seem worth it since it's not like I am amazingly interested in vampires and werewolves anyway. So after much searching, contemplating, and discussing, I switched into a Tier 2 Natural Science called Introduction to Oceanography. I attended the class for the first time today and am hoping it turns out to go much better. Even though I hate science and am now taking TWO science classes.
However...after 3 days of my English class I am beginning to really love it and wonder why I didn't decide to major in that?? Cause there are no job opportunities and a lot of essays, that's why. Anyways, my teacher is pretty awesome in a very subtle way, brings up really interesting conversations and makes us actually think in a good way. Rather than just relating English to books, stories, and poems, he also relates in to artwork and our next two classes are actually meeting in an art gallery! I'm pretty excited :)
I've realized that all of my teachers this semester are unintentionally male, and have not decided yet whether this is going to be a good or bad thing...
And the moral of this post...I'm so very relieved to be out of that Vampires class!! And so very busy I can't keep anything straight or organized.
Ahhh...I am so jealous of your English class. I want to get an English degree just for the fun of it. Maybe I will come visit you and just come sit in your class. :)
ReplyDeleteSounds definitely like a change for the better.(even if you don't like science...maybe somehow you'll learn to like it) Not likely? I know, you are probably one of those people that don't relish the thought of learning to like something, right? ha ha
ReplyDeleteOceanography definitely sounds better the werewolves. he study of the ocean and all the sea lift should be very fascinating.
