Seeing Jesus Daily

Every day I realize so much more how amazing God is and how he just orchestrates everything.  He just puts people right in front of me and says "hey, here's your ministry."

First of all, God put other Christian RA's on my staff in my dorm! A couple I already knew were Christians, and it's so encouraging being able to talk and work with them!  In addition, during one of our training days we participated in an "identity circle" where we had to step into the circle if we identified with certain statements.  One of them happened to be if you identified with being a Christian and a couple other people on my staff also stepped forward.  It was pretty much like God telling me who I should try to talk to and find out about without me even asking.

Then, over the weekend I was walking back from the union with a few of my residents and as we walked a lot of different religious organizations tried to give us information or stop us to talk.  A couple of the girls seemed a bit annoyed, and I commented that there are a lot of different ministries on campus.  One girl spoke up and said that she actually wanted to try to find one to be a part of, but wasn't sure where to start.  I was happily able to tell her that I'm involved in Cru and invite her to check it out with me...I'm pretty sure she is coming this week!

Finally, I was sitting in my very first class this morning and the girl sitting next to me told me I looked familiar.  I get that all the time and I didn't really recognize her, so I didn't think much about it.  A few minutes into our conversation, I found out that she had gone to Cru for a little while last year, but stopped attending weekly meetings because she was too busy.  Now I get to encourage her to come this year :)

Oh wait, that wasn't finally.  There is one more thing! During the Cru leadership retreat this past weekend, I missed a lot of the stuff because of my RA commitments.  One part I missed was training on going through "Backstory" which is an evangelism technique we use a lot at UA, but one I have never been able to be trained in.  Perfectly, as I was walking through the Union today looking for somewhere to sit and eat my bagel during an hour break between classes, I happened to see one of our Cru Interns (just graduated and working with Cru) who had been going through Backstory with new, interested Freshman that morning.  When I mentioned I had never done it before, he went through the whole thing right there!

It's crazy how God does things when you aren't even looking.... =)
