Gymcats!

I've loved gymnastics since I was super little.  When I finally quit doing it myself, I really missed it, but always enjoyed watching it.  Here at the U of A there is a college gymnastics team that competes here and in other states.  Some of the people in CRU have a crazy obsession with the Gymcats, so a lot of CRU people usually go to the meets.  Last year, I didn't get to join them for any, because I worked every Friday night which is when they are held.  This year, I made a resolution that I would FOR SURE go to some meets.  Last night, the Gymcats had their first competition of the year and I was there and ready to watch warm-ups half an hour before the meet started.  It was so much fun!  As always, I was completely mesmerized by the routines.  Normally at sporting events, I spend the whole time trying to understand what is going on and asking other people what things mean.  This time, I was the one who knew exactly what was happening, which was kind of awesome.  I definitely intend to go to as many home meets as possible!

On a somewhat sadder note, my decorations are slowly succumbing to less-than-sticky tape, brick walls, and drunk freshman.  Not unexpected, but still unfortunate.

So far, I haven't  had any opportunities to tutor because the semester is just starting out, so people don't really need help yet.  However, I do have my first appointment tutoring business math tomorrow, so hopefully it goes well!
