As of Friday, I have officially completed all of the steps of applying and being accepted to Eller! (other than finishing my classes this semester). I was already "officially admitted" but because I'm an honors student, my interview for Eller was off campus at a local accounting firm in Oro Valley which didn't actually happen until yesterday. It was a pretty general "about me" interview and then the I got to sit in a room with a couple of the newer employees of the firm and ask them whatever questions I wanted about the school, the firm, the CPA exam, and how they got to where they are now. Working for a smaller firm, they had a different perspective than some of the professionals I had previously talked to from Deloitte, so it was nice to see the other point of view as well to help me figure out what I eventually want to do.
So far, my internship is going pretty well. I'm still new and learning exactly what they want me to do, and even more so because last week I was actually moved (temporarily I think) to another company across the street of which my boss is also a CFO. It's all a little bit confusing to explain, but hopefully will continue to work out well!
This week I am not so proud to say that I woke up by 7 AM every day because I had to and spent ALL DAY today doing homework to what seems like no avail. I am only now taking a break to blog because reading an entire book on a person's experience in a Holocaust concentration camp is getting quite tedious for one day.
