Happy Birthday to Meeeeee

My 21st birthday was not what the typical college student would plan or be happy with.  Luckily, I'm not the typical college student, and for me, it was perfect.

I spent the first half of the day doing what I would any other day - school stuff, RA stuff, meetings, nothing unusual.  We had a CRU Leadership meeting in the afternoon and afterwards my friend Emily and I (we share the same birthday) invited everyone to go to BJ's with us.  We went out to dinner with about 20 people and had a great time just hanging out!  I ordered my first glass of white wine (and strangely the waiter didn't even feel the need to card me since it was my birthday).  I also sampled a few other drinks that other people at the table had gotten, and liked almost everything :)  However, I decided to stick with my one glass of wine, because my size and the fact that I don't ever drink gives me a super low tolerance.  And unlike most people, my goal was not to get drunk.

After dinner, we went back to the CRU guys house and hung out for a while and then ended up driving up to Mt. Lemmon and laying at a lookout point looking at the stars - it was beautiful :)  What a lovely night!

Also, I feel like its necessary to point out that my boyfriend is the sweetest. I'm not really big on presents, and don't care so much if people buy them for me or not.  He chose not to buy me anything, but instead do something much better.  At the end of the night, he gave me these guys...

A basket full of pretty sheets of paper all rolled into little scrolls and tied with ribbon.  One of them was a birthday letter, and the rest are little notes and memories.  I thought that was pretty perfect :)
