Accepted!!

If you're reading this, you probably already know that I HAVE BEEN ACCEPTED TO SUMMER PROJECT!!!  However, I thought I'd write a little about it anyway just to commemorate the moment.  So pretty much, this means I will be spending 8 weeks of my summer in the beautiful (so I've heard anyway) city of Santa Monica, California doing mission work with Campus Crusades for Christ. And I'm soooooooooooo excited :D  All of the work that we do for Summer Project is in the evenings, which means we can get a job during the day and work all summer as well. So I'm currently working on that amongst various other things and praying that God works everything out.

I would also like to comment on the current state of my life.  A lot of the time in High School I was often viewed as "cynical" or "pessimistic" no matter how hard I tried to seem positive and happy.  And I really did try.  But I've realized lately, that I don't have to try anymore.  I have become the person that people want to hang out with in order to put THEM in a good mood and in the past week have been told that I am most definitely an optimist and always positive and happy.  The amazing thing is that it's true.  I am happy a majority of the time; I love my life and I have nothing to be grumpy or cynical about.  This idea in itself makes me so excited I kinda want to smile all the time and I think it is mostly attributed to my relationship with Jesus.  Being in college and a part of CRU has helped me to grow so much closer to Him, to trust Him so much more with my life, and to depend on Him for everything.  I am far from doing this even remotely close to perfectly, but I love that my life is headed in the right direction and that this is starting to be evident to others as well. Thank you Jesus :)

  3. Thank you Hannah for letting us have a snapshot of your life the past few months. Proverbs 3:5 & 6 has always (since I was about 14) been my verses to live by. There have been times in the years past that I have just grasped tightly to the content of those versed for guidance daily. See you Thursday.
