In the past, and still I suppose, I have been accustomed to always receiving A's. I had to work hard, but as long as I made sure to study and do my best, I normally didn't have a problem. While I have done well so far in college, I'm beginning to realize that A's aren't average or typical or easy. A 'C' is average, a 'B' is advanced, and an 'A' is exceptional. I intend to keep doing my best, but am afraid I will soon discover that its impossible to be exceptional at everything...
However...this past week I have been amazingly blessed!! Since I returned from Spring Break, I have been sooo busy everyday and yet God has kept me from feeling overwhelmed. It feels like He is showering blessings on me and I'm almost waiting for something bad to happen to balance out all the good that has come my way. First, I received a $500 check in the mail from the university, providing me with enough money to buy a ticket to Grand Rapids this summer which I am SO HAPPY about. It will be amazing to get to see Dawn and Ava again!
THEN, God gave me another amazing gift. On Tuesday I found out that received a position as an RA for the 2011-2012 school year. I have been prayer for over a month for this job, but was trying not to get my hopes up because around 450 students applied for 70-80 spots. Not only was I hired, I am going to be working in La Paz, the dorm that I now live in. If I were going to choose any dorm to be placed in, that would have been my first choice. I am so very thankful.
Next week will probably be another busy week. Still, I am looking forward to interviewing for both the Sophomore Honorary "SOPHOS," and a summer camp in Santa Monica on Tuesday. Please be praying that the interviews go well!!
