Team Building

This weekend has been super busy and all about team building and leadership.  On Friday night and Saturday I participated in our Cru leadership retreat, an overnight stay at a church in town with all of the other students who will be helping to lead Cru next year.  It was an amazing time of getting to know each other, learning more about leadership, and discovering what God has planned for us for next year.  The retreat went all day Saturday until that night when we had a type of commissioning ceremony in an amazingly beautiful sanctuary.  It was such a powerful time, and I love all of the students I will be working with next year!

Saturday was also our first official meeting with all of the RAs (so I had to miss some of the Cru retreat.)  We spent about an hour going over basic stuff with all of the UA RAs and then split up into our separate hall teams.  I am sooo excited to work with mine next year!  All of the staff seem really fun, and I know a lot of them already because most of the female RAs are returners from last year.  It was really helpful to have the opportunity to meet who we will be working with next year and talk with our Community Director.  We ALSO found out which halls we will be working in next year...(drum role please...) I will be....the RA for the all-girls Eller Pre-Business Wing!!  Which means...that I will have my current RAs room (which is super small but I will live :P) and have her job.  WHICH is pretty much my dream job.  I'm so excited for next year and I feel like God has placed me in this specific spot and given me this opportunity for a specific reason, and I can't wait to find out what He is going to do through me!

The past couple of days have been SO LONG but the weekend has also gone by super fast.  Today, I am just trying to catch up on sleep and homework and prepare myself to make it through the next week :)
