Short Update.

I'm not really much inclined to detail everything about my past unfortunate week, however, I will give a brief synopsis.

Taking the antibiotics did begin to help my infection.  By midweek, it was feeling much better and I was able to walk pretty well and even wear jeans without it hurting.  The medicine did make me kinda nauseous and gross feeling, but I found if I made sure to eat and drink enough, I could do alright throughout the day.  Unfortunately, while the super strong antibiotics did kill my infection, by body was not a fan of them (at least that is the guess according to the doctor's).  On Friday, I woke up with a few strange bumps on my hands and feet which by the end of the day had progressed to my arms and legs.  Worried, I went to get it checked out and they sent me home with instructions to take benadryl and come back if my rash got worse.  On Saturday morning, I woke up with an awful rash covering literally my entire body which really freaked me out.  So, I got to spend another 7 hours or so in the hospital hooked up to an IV and receiving fluids, steroids, and benadryl which still seemed to do little to ease the rash.  I was eventually sent home with a prescription for four days worth of steroids and benadryl with another assurance from the doctor's that this should do the trick.  I really really hope it does, because I am currently super uncomfortable and itchy, and so so so tired of continually getting worse and worse.  Although Mom and Dad were super great about taking care of me yesterday and today, I'm now on my own again and all I want is to feel normal again.

  1. I'm still feeling bad that we had to leave, Hannah. We really had no choice (I know you understand) but continued thoughts and prayers are with you. Trusting you'll feel better in the next couple of days.
