Fall Retreat 2012

Fall Retreat is a mini conference that UA CRU has every year on Mt. Lemmon.  During the past two years, I was unable to attend because of other obligations, but this year I was finally allowed to go!  Last weekend over 100 students headed up the mountain to spend the weekend at a camp that could barely hold all of us!

The weather was beautiful, the mountains were beautiful, and the weekend was amazing!  We got to spend time together eating, listening to a guest speaker, worshiping, playing games, hiking and having mens' and womens' times.  It was an amazing opportunity to get to know all of the new freshman better and build stronger relationships with everyone else.  I learned sooo much through our speaker, our meetings, and the other students there and was really blessed by the amazing community.  Despite lack of sleep and not so cleanly bathrooms, we had an amazing time together and I was sad to leave the mountain and return to reality.

I actually have some pictures to share too!  Of course, it would be too much to expect me to have taken any, but I managed to mooch some off of other people :p I can't say I look my best after three days on a mountain, but it's still great to have the memory :)

And then I went back to reality and an incrediblyyyyyy busy week.  On the bright side, I'm over halfway through the semester!

  1. Retreats are good for refreshing, even when you come back without having had sufficient sleep. Glad you were able to attend this year.
