Happy Birthday to Me

Today, was my birthday (it still is I guess.)  I've never been much of a birthday person.  I don't need lots of presents or like to have a big party or anything.  Although I do enjoy cake =)  I'm afraid to say that today came and went like any other day and the only thing that set it apart as being my birthday was the extravagant number of 'Happy Birthday' s on my Facebook wall  (although I do really enjoy them, I always find myself wondering why people that we never associate with in real life find it necessary to tell us happy birthday on Facebook?) and in my cell phone inbox.  I didn't go eat anywhere special or celebrate in any sort of way, but that's really quite fine.  Seeing as I'm a very simple person, none of that was really necessary.   It was, however, I think the first birthday I have spent away from home which seemed slightly odd.  But as on most birthdays I don't really feel any different than I did yesterday or I will tomorrow and 19 is just another number to add to my collection.  So thank you to everyone who remembered my birthday and to those who sent me mail (which, is really the highlight of any college student's day and I would LOVE to receive more letters!).  Also, thank you to whoever made up Labor Day because it always seems to fall right near my birthday and I sure did enjoy having a long weekend =)
