Two down, many more to go...

The past week has been nothing more than uneventful.  When I think back, I can remember little more than going to class, doing homework, and making late night trips to Highland Market.  I am starting to enjoy the option of sleeping until nine almost every morning, (and Blaire enjoys the days when I allow myself to sleep in.)  However, I do feel as though I'm missing the early morning motivation I used to feel when doing homework BEFORE a ten or eleven o'clock class.  Now, that is a very very unlikely occurrence.  Tonight, I find myself annoyed because my awful phone service has caused my texting to be broken ALL DAY and when I think about tomorrow, all I see is the essay I will be writing.  And although the essay topic and length isn't bad at all and I could probably almost have fun writing it, it is hard not to dread constructing my first college essay.  If it turns out good and I get a pleasing grade, I will likely post it on my blog for you all to enjoy =)

For Mom and Dad... today in my Native American discussion group, we all had to bring in an object that represented our culture.  I brought with me a box of Matzah and told about our Jewish background.  I let the class taste test the Matzah, but warned them it was an acquired taste.  I'm not really too sure how I felt about it.  Unfortunately, I had to throw away the remaining Matzah because I knew there was a very minute likelihood of me eating it.

In the past couple of weeks I have found that I enjoy eating cinnamon toast crunch and crackers and peanut butter while sitting on my floor.  I've discovered that I'm willing to pay $7 for a lanyard and $3 for chapstick at the bookstore, despite my poor money condition, in order to avoid the hassle of going anywhere else.  I've learned that the time when campus food places (the Union and Highland Market particularly) are least busy is during actual normal eating hours because everyone in college eats at odd times of the day and you are much more likely to wait half an hour for a quesadilla  at midnight or one in the morning that at six or seven.  It's odd, but I'm getting used to college life.

I'm looking forward to this long weekend to have some extra relaxing time, write my essay, and perhaps pay a visit to Phoenix to visit some of my friends =)
