Excitment at the Laudromat... jk.

Last night during our evening activities we were instructed to take a "Worldview Interview" sheet with about 10 questions and find someone who would be willing to go through the questions with us.  I, and two other girls from my action group walked down to the ocean and strolled around for a bit looking for someone who didn't appear to be too busy.  After a bit of not finding anyone, we gave a short prayer that God would bring us a willing candidate, and as soon as we opened our eyes, there he was!  The man we talked out turned out to be originally from Lithuania but has been living in the states since 1991.  He was totally open to answering our questions and thought really carefully about each of his answers.  He shared with us that he had grown up Catholic and believed some of the basic ideas of the Catholic church, but in the past few days had been thinking a lot about his afterlife because of a recent event in his family (we didn't ask for specifics).  His answers were really interesting and revealed that he definitely believed in God, but may not have a personal relationship with Him.  When we asked him about what happens after death, he suggested that ideally there would be Heaven, but he wasn't certain of whether that was true or not.  We were eager to keep talking to him, but unfortunately didn't have a lot of time and didn't want to push too far.  Hopefully our conversation with him will continue to push him in continuing his search for the absolute truth of Jesus.

Afterwards, our action groups got together with our staff leader for a Bible study.  In just a short time, my group of girls has gotten really close, and it's awesome how open and willing everyone is to share with each other.  I think its really encouraging for everyone to see that regardless of what we may think, almost everyone goes through the same types of things.

Today was another mostly free day and me and Shannon did some laundry at a nearby laundromat (my first time).  It went fairly smoothly and we experienced nothing too out of the ordinary or exciting.  However, we did want to document the experience, so here are some pictures!!

Tonight we are having a dinner to go and "Date Night with Jesus" followed by worship.  I'm definitely looking forward to some peaceful, close time with the Lord :)
